Position Description:
The Department of Mathematics at the University of Louisville invites
applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level
beginning Fall 2008. Preference will be given to applicants in applied or
computational areas of Combinatorics, but qualified applicants in other areas
strengthening the department's PhD program in applied and industrial mathematics
and complementing existing strengths, will be considered. The typical teaching
load in the department is two courses per semester.
The minimum qualifications for this position include a Ph.D. degree, or its
equivalent, in the Mathematical Sciences. Applicants with demonstrated strengths
in research and teaching are encouraged to apply. The expectations include that
the successful applicant will contribute fully to research and both
undergraduate and graduate instruction.
