Department of Mathematics ASSISTANT PROFESSOR Position Description: ASSISTANT PROFESSOR - APPLIED MATHEMATICS
(Bioinformatics) The Department of Mathematics at the University of Louisville invites applications for a
tenure-track Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2007 in Applied Mathematics with
special interests in bioinformatics, mathematical biology or related fields. The
ideal candidate will have a demonstrated record of excellence in research and
teaching as well as experience with extramural funding. The minimum
qualifications for this position include a Ph.D. degree, or its equivalent, in
the Mathematical Sciences. The expectations include that the successful
applicant will contribute fully to both undergraduate and graduate instruction
and research, attract extramural funding and conduct interdisciplinary work with
